Game 1 – vs Flight Club

Started out trading the game to 3-3, both teams were just getting used to first game of the day. We were slack on defence and they were getting some lucky shots. Our zone let a couple of goals in, in the first few points. We then won the game 11-3. We ramped our game up in all areas once we had started to get into the rhythm, and our zone improved on every single point ironing out mistakes that occurred the previous point - this helped with our 8 point scoring streak.

Game 2 – vs Hucks

Their average age was 16, ours 24. Game was at 3-3, time out called by us. Basically we were letting them get free and giving them such passes, we were not respecting them. We were treating them as a bunch of kids, but they are actually a talented team and needed to play against them as we would any other team. Next two points went to them via some fortunate occurrences (one disc macked off Dave's back into one of their hands!). 5-3 down, we then won the game 10-6. Our offence worked well, but defence was very poor because we did not respect them, as soon as we did so, we took them game away from them.

Game 3 – vs Stourbridge

They had a very good team playing. First 3 points went to them all with long shots to Frankie. The rest of the game traded out and we lost 10-8. The good – our zone was extremely effective against this team and kept us trading, our general offence was also quite good. The bad – our pull play let us down getting the disc moving off the start, the stack was not moving down field quick enough to set up in position.

Game 4 – vs emo 2

We were expecting a very tough game, and that is what we got. We had some scrappy points with many turnovers, some due to execution errors and others due to patterns not being run properly. The desire from our team brought us through to victory at 6-3. I am glad we saw a little bit of wind so we were able to practice zones and also get used to playing offence in the wind. Good day overall I think, some things to work on over the coming months leading up to the Tour season, and to the emo Invitational before that. Steady
