On June 26th-27th 2010, some of the world's finest players and coaches are descending on Loughborough to run the first ever Elite Skills Clinic, sponsored by Five Ultimate. What is the Elite Skills Clinic?

The Elite Skills Clinic is a weekend-long training camp for ultimate players of any age, ability or gender. We have been lucky enough to get hold of some of the players from Team USA - the gold medal winning team from The World Games 2009 - to come and teach you in small groups. You will benefit from one-to-one teaching and learn skills, techniques and tactics directly from top UPA club players.
Participant numbers will be restricted to ensure that every participant gets a quality experience.

Programme

The exact details are still to be confirmed, but the clinic will run from 8am-6pm Saturday 26th June, and 8am-4pm Sunday 27th June, with regular breaks for drinks and food. It is important that participants arrive on time on Saturday morning, as registration will need to take place.

We are in the process of organising some lunchtime entertainment, in the form of talks from some of our players, plus there will be the chance to see who's the fastest ultimate player, in our "Race Beau" challenge.

Accommodation

Hard floor accommodation is included at no extra charge for Friday and Saturday night. If you want something more luxurious then you'll need to book a hotel

Lunch

Lunch will be provided both days. Please advise us of any dietary requirements.

Venue

The clinic will be held at Burleigh College, Loughborough, LE11 4SQ. Here's a link to Google maps. We strongly advise bringing transport, as none will be provided. Please use Gate 4, park near the sports centre (large yellow and green building), and proceed through the gate on the right to the grassed area. There will be signs on the day.

Loughborough is in the centre of England and well served by public transport links. Getting to Loughborough is both simple and convenient.

By Air: East Midlands airport (EMA) is just 7 miles away, and has international flights across Europe. From EMA, it is possible to catch a bus directly to Loughborough train station, or people can jump on the RailLink bus at EMA which takes 10-15 mins to get to the newly opened East Midlands Parkway station, where trains can be caught directly to Loughborough, which takes just 7 minutes. Trains also connect Loughborough to Stansted Airport (2hrs 45mins) and Luton Airport (1hr).

By Rail: Loughborough is connected directly to London St Pancras; journey time is around 1hr 20mins with few stops and no need to change trains. For those coming from the north, there are direct services to Leeds and it only takes one change for those coming from Edinburgh.

By Car: Loughborough is located next to Junction 23 of the M1, the main motorway joining north to south. Journey time from London approx 2hrs, Dover approx 3hrs 30mins.

Once in Loughborough: Loughborough railway station is about three miles from the venue. Taxis are available outside the station, and should cost about £4-£5. There are local bus services available, Service 5 on the Kinch Bus will get you from Loughborough Town Centre to directly outside the venue. There are shuttle buses from the railway station to/from the Town Centre.
